Peter Kalnbach is a street and documentary photographer based in Hamburg, Germany. His work explores everyday life through colour, light and human encounters, with a particular interest in the relationship between people and the places around them.

Working primarily in vibrant urban environments, his photography is shaped by light, colour, and layered compositions. His images balance observation with immersion, capturing everyday moments that reveal the atmosphere and complexity of a place.

His award-winning work has been exhibited in New York, Paris, Jaipur, Tokyo, Berlin, and Trieste. 

With „Where life feels different“ he published his first book.

Peter curates international exhibitions and regularly gives workshops and talks. He is the co-founder of WORLDWIDE STREETS and part of the artist collective 5x5.
